Gambaran Pengetahuan dan Perilaku Ibu Mengenai Konstipasi Fungsional dan Faktor-faktor yang Berhubungan = Knowledge and Attitude of Mothers About Functional Constipation and Related Factors.

Latar belakang: Konstipasi fungsional merupakan salah satu gangguan saluran cerna fungsional yang cukup sering ditemukan pada bayi. Prevalensinya di dunia cukup beragam, dari 0,7% - 29,6%. Tidak jarang ibu membawa bayinya ke dokter karena gangguan buang air besar. Indonesia juga merupakan negara multikultur dan memiliki populasi yang beragam. Pengetahuan dan perilaku ibu mengenai konstipasi fungsional masih belum banyak diteliti. Terlebih, melihat faktor-faktor yang mungkin memiliki hubungan dengan pengetahuan dan perilaku ibu mengenai konstipasi fungsional belum pernah diteliti sebelumnya di Indonesia. Tujuan: Mengetahui prevalensi konstipasi fungsional serta tingkat pengetahuan dan perilaku ibu terhadap konstipasi fungsional dan faktor yang memengaruhinya. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian observasional cross-sectional analitik. Kuesioner daring diberikan kepada seratus ibu yang telah dipilih secara acak yang melahirkan selama dua belas bulan terakhir di RS Premier Bintaro, Tangerang Selatan. Analisis dilakukan secara bivariat dnegan menilai masing-masing faktor terhadap pengetahuan atau perilaku menggunakan SPSS. Hasil: 24 dari 100 bayi (24%) memenuhi kriteria konstipasi fungsional berdasarkan Rome IV. Nilai median untuk pengetahuan ibu terhadap konstipasi fungsional adalah 10 dari total poin maksimal 12 dan perilaku ibu terhadap konstipasi fungsional adalah 12 dari total poin maksimal adalah 14. Kesimpulan: Tidak ditemukan hubungan yang bermakna antara masing-masing variabel yang diukur dengan pengetahuan dan perilaku ibu terhadap konstipasi fungsional. Meskipun demikian, pengetahuan dan perilaku ibu belum maksimal, terutama mengenai peranan susu dalam konstipasi fungsional.

Background: Functional constipation is one of functional gastrointestinal disorders that has high prevalence in children among others. The prevalence of functional constipation around the world is between 0,7% until 29,7%. Mothers often bring their children to the practicer because of defecation problems. We also remember that Indonesia is a multicultural country that has different kinds of population. Information about mothers’ knowledge and theraupetic approach to functional constipation is still limited. Factors that contribute to mothers’ knowledge and therapeutic approach also never been reported before. Aim: Discover the prevalence of functional constipation and mothers’ knowledge and therapeutic approach to functional constipation with factors that might affect them. Method: This research is an observational cross-sectional analytic research. Researcher gave online questionnaire to a hundred mothers that have been randomly selected from those who gave birth in Premier Bintaro Hospital, Tangerang Selatan, for the last twelve months. Researcher is using bivariate analysis to analyze each variable to knowledge and therapuetic approach using SPSS. Result: 24 from 100 neonates (24%) is diagnosed with functional constipation based on Rome IV Criteria. Median of mothers’ knowledge for functional constipation is 10 from 12 as the maximum score and median of mothers’ theraputic approach for functional constipation is 12 from 14 as the maximum score. Conclusion: There are no significant relationship between each variable to mothers’ knowledge and therapeutic approach for functional constipation. Mothers’ knowledge and theraputic approach are not optimal yet, especially about milk’s role in functional constipation.
